This is an absolute yummilicious recipe of chicken whole legs cooked in airfryer with just 2 tbsp oil and a combination of spices that are easily available at our pantry. These soft, tender and juicy chicken leg pieces are way too awesome.

  1. 900 grams chicken legs
  2. 4 tbsp thick yoghurt
  3. 2-3 tbsp gram flour
  4. 1/2 tsp orange food colour(optional)
  5. as per taste Salt
  6. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  7. 1 tsp ginger powder
  8. 1 tsp garlic powder
  9. 1 tsp cumin powder
  10. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  11. 1 tbsp red chilli Powder
  12. 1 tbsp coriander powder
  13. 1 tsp chaat masala
  14. 1 tsp dry kasuri methi
  15. as required Juice of 1 lime
  16. 2 tbsp oil

  1. Clean wash and pat dry the chicken pieces. Make sure there is no additional water in it. I have used the whole chicken leg with thighs and drumsticks you can make it only in drumsticks or whichever part you like. Now make 2-3 deep gashes on the tigh part and 2-3 deep gashes on the drumstick part on both the sides. By these gashes the spices will be coated everywhere and it will taste amazing.
  2. Now in a bowl add the yoghurt and all the dry spices mentioned above and mix it very well now add lemon juice and orange food colour and mix it again. Finally add the oil and mix well. And then marinate it overnight if you have time in hand because overnight marination is always best but if you are in hurry you can marinate it for 30-60 minutes also in that case you can add 1 tbsp white vinegar in place of lime juice. After marination add 2-3 tbsp gram flour or all purpose flour and mix well again. Now in the meantime preheat the airfryer for 5 minutes at 180°c on grill mode.
  4. After preheating take out the airfryer basket grease it with oil and put the chicken pieces in it and grill it for 20 minutes at 180°c. After 20 minutes take the basket out and grease it again with oil and grill it again for 10 minutes. When total 30 minutes are done then flip the chicken pieces grease them again and cook for 15 minutes on same temprature and after that it will be done. My chicken pieces took 40-45 mins to be completely done check on yours airfryer and the tenderness of chicken.
  5. Serve hot with the choice of your dip and salad and enjoy with your friends and family.
